- In 1990 a group of TREASURE Forest landowners came together to from a TREASURE Forest Advisory Committee to the State Forester.
- In 1991 the Advisory Committee formed the Alabama TREASURE Forest Landowners Association.
- In 1992 the Association established dues and membership was accepted.
- In 1997 seeing the need for the Association to grow and expand it’s outreach efforts, the position of Executive Director was filled and the Alabama TREASURE Forest Landowners changed its name to the Alabama TRESURE Forest Association.
